Hülkenberg is a similar case to Magnussen. He too seemed to be disappearing from F1 for good. After leaving Renault in 2019, he lost his permanent racing job. He did race in the 2020 and 2022 seasons, but only as a substitute for Racing Point and Aston Martin. However, he returned permanently in 2023, replacing Mick Schumacher at Haas.
The first year with Haas was very difficult for Hülkenberg as the American team struggled a lot. Despite this, German defeated teammate Kevin Magnussen and will be looking to build on that in 2024. However, it is quite unlikely that he will finally see his first podium in 2024.
